The story behind the books that shape our worldviews
Books really are the most clearly defined and concentrated source of thought on a subject or info and these can really define worldviews, not just of individuals, but of families, businesses, cities, and entire nations.
This project started out as a site called siliconvalleycanon that aggregated the core thinking books of the SF mindset so that those inside or outside could develop their worldview in such a way to create that same magical spark in their own selves.
As I worked on it I realized SF is one city, but what about another city like NYC or DC. What about the great businesses like Google or Amazon. What about families (did the Morgan dynasty all have similar influences) then what about individuals, the VP of growth has a very different mindset than the chief compliance officer within the same company.
How do the must read list of different CEOs differ from company to company. Ultimately, there is a whole mosaic that exists to represent every individual's worldview, how will you define yours.
